Anthropic disables Fable 5 and Mythos 5 after US government suspends all foreign access to models

Dario Amodei-led Anthropic PBC has announced that the US government has issued an export control directive that will prevent any outside access to its artificial intelligence models, Fable 5 and Mythos 5.

The company said that the net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
In its post, the company further added, “We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.”
