Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed officials to fully utilize technology and AI to improve GST, other tax collections and the overall revenue administration.

Naidu directed officials to prepare monthly economic reports to assess the State Gross Domestic Product (GSDP).

“Fully utilize technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve GST and other tax collections, as well as overall revenue administration,” he said in an official press release.
He emphasized that periodic economic assessments at the state and field levels would help monitor progress toward GSDP targets through monthly, quarterly and half-yearly statistical indicators.

Addressing a review meeting on GSDP targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at his camp office in Undavalli, Guntur district, the CM provided guidance on achieving departmental KPIs for the financial year 2026-27 at the state, district and mandal levels.

He stressed the need to improve indicators that remain below the national average and align them with the performance standards of leading states.

Naidu also instructed officials to adopt a scoring mechanism that evaluates performance based not only on target achievement but also on real growth outcomes.

Emphasizing the economic impact of infrastructure investments, Naidu observed that every rupee spent on infrastructure has the potential to generate up to 3.5 times economic activity.

Further, he directed officials to establish an AI-powered task force to monitor economic developments in real time and support data-driven governance aligned with the Swarna Andhra – 2047 vision (golden Andhra).

The TDP supremo called for focused efforts to enhance Gross Value Addition (GVA) across all sectors.

He underlined the importance of leveraging manufacturing, mining, trade, transportation, and major infrastructure projects such as Amaravati, Polavaram, ports, and airports to create a strong multiplier effect on the state’s economy, the press release added.
